Trip description

During this four-day workshop, you’ll not only capture the essence of this springtime beauty but also enhance your photography and travel skills through expert-led sessions and hands-on practice. Whether you are an amateur or an experienced photographer, this workshop will provide you with a comprehensive learning experience in one of the most scenic regions of Central Europe. 

We’ll explore both the Polish and Slovak sides of these spectacular regions, visiting well-known landscape photography hotspots as well as hidden gems. With over a decade of experience in capturing these landscapes, we’ll guide you to the best sunrise and sunset locations, ensuring that you experience and document the most breathtaking lighting conditions.

Among the locations we’ll visit:

  • Łapszanka – A legendary spot offering panoramic views of the Tatras, ideal for capturing golden hour magic

  • Czorsztyn – A stunning medieval castle on a picturesque lake, offering dramatic compositions

  • Sromowce Wyżne – A charming riverside village with breathtaking vistas and misty morning moods

  • Wysoki Wierch – One of the most scenic viewpoints in the region, a perfect place to experiment with different focal lengths

  • Osturnia – Our home base, a historic Carpathian village full of character, offering endless photographic opportunities

Beyond these renowned locations, we’ll take you to secret spots where you can unwind with your camera and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the landscape. This mix of popular and lesser-known sites will expand your portfolio and deepen your understanding of landscape photography.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to have any knowledge of photography or own specialised equipment. All you need is enthusiasm! Also, we will spend the majority of time giving you each direct guidance, so our personal gear will be available for you to try and see if you’ll like it. Together, we’ll practice landscape photography, explain the basics of good composition, and share our experiences.

Participants will receive access to the workshop group on Facebook, where we share tips and advices about trip to Poland and also conduct casual discussions - we want our trip to be completely friendly and without formal barriers.

The detailed program and mini-guide with full packing list, that only participants will receive is filled with stunning locations and landscapes. We will visit them depending on weather conditions and the level of security.

TRANSPORT: The workshop begins on May 1st in Osturnia at 16:00. Transportation during the workshop is included, but participants need to arrange their own travel to the meeting point in Osturnia village. If you arrive at Kraków Airport before 13:00 PM on May 1st, we will provide a free transfer to Osturnia. You are also welcome to arrive a day earlier and explore the beautiful city of Kraków at your own expense.

At the end of the workshop on May 4th, around 12:00 PM, we will also offer a return transfer to Kraków Airport, ensuring a smooth journey home.

ACCOMMODATION: We’ll be staying in a traditional Carpathian house in the scenic village of Osturnia. This charming home, built in an authentic architectural style, offers a cozy retreat with a fully equipped kitchen and shared common spaces. Accommodation will be in 2- and 3-person rooms, providing a comfortable and communal experience. The property also features a sauna and jacuzzi (available for an additional fee), perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring.

PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY: This trip is suitable for anyone with a basic fitness level who enjoys exploring the outdoors. No advanced hiking experience is necessary! The pace of exploration will be relaxed. Some locations are accessible from nearby car parks or short walks. Some will offer more challenging hikes with a bit steeper inclines and longer distances (up to 2 hours).

It's hard for them to sit still in one place, and their passion and love for travel and creating have taken them to many unexpected locations. They have decided to showcase the most beautiful areas of the world and share the photographic knowledge they have acquired over the years.
